Reception for Inauguration of the 6th Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre and Welcoming the Visit of the Secretary-General of ASEAN to Korea
한-아세안센터 사무총장 취임 겸 아세안 사무총장 방한 환영 리셉션
On 27 May, the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) hosted a reception to commemorate the inauguration of the 6th Secretary General Kim Jae-shin and to welcome the visit of ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn.
Secretary General Kim Jae-shin, appointed during the 16th Annual Meeting of the Council of the AKC held in February 2024, expressed his commitment to this momentous year which celebrates the 15th anniversary of the AKC and the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Korea Dialogue Relations. He emphasized that the AKC would contribute to supporting sustainable and mutually beneficial ASEAN-Korea economic cooperation initiatives, facilitating tourism and cultural exchanges through capacity-building programs, and enhancing solidarity and collaboration between ASEAN and Korea by fostering communication and raising awareness.
In addition, an official dinner was held to extend a formal welcome to ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn, discussing possible ways to strengthen cooperation between the AKC and the ASEAN Secretariat.
한-아세안센터는 5월 27일 제6대 김재신 사무총장 취임을 축하하고, 까으 끔 후은 아세안 사무총장 방한을 환영하는 행사를 개최하였습니다.
지난 2월 개최된 제16차 한-아세안센터 연례이사회에서 제6대 사무총장으로 임명된 김재신 사무총장은 취임 리셉션 인사말을 통해 올해가 한-아세안센터 창립 15주년이자 한-아세안 대화관계 수립 35주년을 맞는 중요한 시기인만큼 향후 한-아세안 간 지속가능하고 호혜적인 경제협력 증진, 미래지향적인 관광ᆞ 문화교류 활성화를 위한 관광 분야 역량 강화 및 한-아세안 국민 간 소통 강화와 상호 인식 증진을 통한 연대와 협력 강화에 이바지하기 위해 노력할 것이라고 강조하였습니다.
이어 마련된 까으 끔 후은 아세안 사무총장 환영 만찬에서 두 사무총장은 센터와 아세안 사무국 간 협력 강화 방안 등에 대한 의견도 교환하였습니다.
