Engagement in “Jeonbuk Global Culture Week” with the “Outreach School Tour Program”
찾아가는 스쿨투어 프로그램 – “전북 글로벌 문화 주간” 참여
On 23 and 24 May, the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) participated in the “Jeonbuk Global Culture Week” event hosted by the Jeonbuk International Cooperation Agency as part of its “Outreach School Tour Program” in Jeonju.
* The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) offers the year-long “ASEAN School Tour Program” for secondary school students with the aim to raise awareness and understanding of ASEAN, providing two distinctive ‘ASEAN Hall School Tour’ and ‘Outreach School Tour’ programs. Additionally, the AKC provides the “Youth Visit Program” for university students and the general public.
The “Jeonbuk Global Culture Week” in Jeonju aims to provide opportunities for youth to explore their diverse talents and values, fostering creative thinking about career paths. In line with its “Outreach School Tour Program”, the AKC welcomed approximately 130 students in Jeonbuk Province, contributing to raising awareness of ASEAN and ASEAN-Korean relations .
During the two-day event, the AKC’s staff and ASEAN officials seconded to AKC from Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Singapore, at the AKC provided “Special Lectures about the AKC & Their ASEAN Respective Countries” respectively, followed by a Q&A session on ASEAN countries and ASEAN-Korea relations.
지난 5월 23일과 24일, 한-아세안센터는 “찾아가는 스쿨투어 프로그램”의 일환으로 전북국제협력진흥원이 주최하는 전주 “전북 글로벌 문화 주간” 행사에 참여하였습니다.
* 아세안에 대한 청소년의 인식과 이해도 제고 및 국제기구 진로체험을 위해 한-아세안센터가 연중 진행하는 프로그램으로, ‘아세안홀 스쿨투어’와 ‘찾아가는 스쿨투어’ 프로그램으로 구성된 “아세안 스쿨투어 프로그램(중·고등학생)’과 “청년 방문 프로그램(대학생, 일반인)”을 운영중임.
“전북 글로벌 문화 주간”은 청소년의 다양한 재능과 가치를 확인하고 진로에 대한 창의적 사고를 발현할 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위해 개최되었습니다. 행사 중 “찾아가는 스쿨투어 프로그램”을 통해 한-아세안센터는 약 130명의 전북특별자치도 내 청소년들을 맞이하여 아세안과 한-아세안 관계에 대한 인식을 제고하는 데 기여하였습니다.
이틀 간 진행된 행사에서 한-아세안센터 직원과 캄보디아, 미얀마, 말레이시아, 싱가포르에서 센터로 파견된 아세안 공무원들은 “한-아세안센터와 아세안 국가 특별 강연”을 하였으며, 참가자들과 아세안 국가와 한-아세안 관계에 대한 질의응답 시간을 가졌습니다.
