Launch of the ASEAN-Korea Centre’s Special Exhibition, ‘The Living Palette: Southeast Asia’s Green Legacy,’ in celebration of the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-Korea Dialogue Relations

한-아세안 대화관계 수립 35주년 기념 ‘숲에서 숲으로: 아세안의 녹색 유산’ 특별전 개막

The ASEAN-Korea Centre’s special exhibition, ‘ASEAN Pavilion 2024,’ titled The Living Palette: Southeast Asia’s Green Legacy, was launched on 7 September, at the National Asia Culture Center in Gwangju.

Before the launching ceremony, on 5 September, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol visited the ASEAN Pavilion, where he was accompanied by H.E. Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and Mr. Kang Ki-jung, Mayor of Gwangju. During their visit, H.E. Kim Jae-shin, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, gave them the tour of the ASEAN Pavilion 2024.

Organized in cooperation with the 15th Gwangju Biennale to celebrate the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Korea Dialogue Relations, this year’s ASEAN Pavilion showcases the rich biodiversity and ecotourism assets of ASEAN. It features digital representations of heritage parks and the national flowers of the 10 ASEAN member countries.

The Pavilion is open to the public with free entry until 1 December, at Creation Space 5-3 of the National Asia Culture Center. (*Open Tuesday through Sunday. Please refer to the ACC website for specific hours.)

9월 7일 한-아세안센터 특별전 ‘아세안 파빌리온 2024 – 숲에서 숲으로: 아세안의 녹색 유산’이 광주 국립아시아문화전당에서 개막하였습니다.

9월 5일에는 윤석열 대통령이 아세안 파빌리온에 방문하여 김재신 한-아세안센터 사무총장의 안내로 전시를 관람하였으며, 유인촌 문화체육관광부 장관, 강기정 광주광역시 시장 등의 주요인사가 동행했습니다.

한-아세안 대화관계 수립 35주년을 기념하여 제15회 광주비엔날레와 협력하여 개최된 이번 아세안 파빌리온은 아세안의 대표적인 헤리티지 공원 소개와 10개국 국화를 기반한 미디어 아트를 통해 아세안의 풍부한 생물다양성과 생태관광자원을 선보입니다.

아세안 파빌리온은 12월 1일까지 국립아시아문화전당 문화창조원 5-3관에서 무료로 관람할 수 있습니다. (*매주 화-일 개관. 개관시간은 국립아시아문화전당 홈페이지 참조)
