제11차 아세안 연계성 포럼 개최
The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) hosted the 11th ASEAN Connectivity Forum at the Westin Josun Seoul on January 9. As the only forum focused on ASEAN Connectivity in Korea, the event has been held for 10 consecutive years since 2013. At the opening ceremony, H.E. Kim Hae-yong, Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre delivered his opening remarks, followed by welcoming remarks from H.E Chung Byung-won, Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs, and congratulatory remarks from H.E Songkane Luangmuninthone, Ambassador of Lao PDR to ROK (Chair of ASEAN Committee in Seoul). Former Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E Dato Lim Jock Hoi delivered the keynote speech highlighting the direction ASEAN should take through digital connectivity.
The first session (ASEAN-Korea Expert Session) discussed the status of ASEAN’s connectivity efforts and its way forward. In the second session (ASEAN Digital Connectivity Project Presentation), government officials from 10 ASEAN Member States shared their respective digital connectivity projects and policy updates in areas such as 5G networks and digital currency.
An online business meeting will be held from January 10 to February 8 to provide business opportunities for Korean companies interested in digital connectivity projects in ASEAN. The pre-recorded presentations of connectivity projects and policy updates of each ASEAN country are uploaded to the AKC’s YouTube channel. 한-아세안센터는 1월 9일 웨스틴 조선 서울 호텔에서 “제11차 아세안 연계성 포럼”을 개최했습니다. 2013년부터 매년 진행된 “아세안 연계성 포럼”은 국내 유일의 아세안 연계성 관련 행사로, 올해 11주년을 맞이하였습니다. 김해용 한-아세안센터 사무총장의 개회사와 정병원 외교부 차관보의 환영사, 그리고 송칸 루앙무닌톤 주한 라오스 대사(주한 아세안 대사단 의장)의 축사에 이어서 림 족 호이(Lim Jock Hoi) 전 아세안 사무총장의 기조연설을 통해 디지털 연계성으로 아세안이 나아가야 할 방향에 대한 메시지를 전달했습니다.
“한-아세안 전문가 세션”에서는 아세안의 디지털 연계성 증진을 위한 노력의 현재와 미래를 다뤘고, “아세안 국별 디지털 연계성 프로젝트 발표”에서는 아세안의 10개국 정부 부처 관계자들이 5G 네트워크, 디지털화폐 등 다양한 분야의 디지털 연계성 프로젝트와 정책 현황을 공유하였습니다.
이후 한 달간(1.10.-2.8.) 진행될 온라인 비즈니스 미팅을 통해 연계성 프로젝트에 관심 있는 한국 기업에 아세안 진출 기회를 제공합니다. 아세안 각국의 연계성 프로젝트와 정책 현황은 한-아세안센터 유튜브 채널에서 확인할 수 있습니다. 행사 전반 및 올해 연사에 대한 보다 자세한 정보는 한-아세안센터 연계성 포럼 공식 홈페이지에서 확인할 수 있습니다.
