한-아세안센터는 12월 1-2일 태국 방콕에서 태국 투자청, 한-메콩 물관리공동연구센터와 함께 ‘메콩강 유역의 지속 가능한 수자원 관리’를 주제로 세미나를 진행하고 기업 간 네트워킹의 장을 마련했습니다.

이번 방문에서 센터는 국내 유관 기업 5곳과 메콩 5개국*의 정부 부처 및 기업 관계자들을 초청하여 ▲한-메콩 물관리 산업 세미나, ▲방수환경교육보존센터 시찰, ▲한-메콩 수자원 관리 업체 기술 공유 및 B2B 네트워킹 세션을 진행했습니다.

*메콩 5개국: 캄보디아, 라오스, 미얀마, 태국, 베트남

한-메콩 물관리 산업 세미나에서는 한-메콩 수자원 협력 실태와 관리 정책을 공유하고, 기업들의 최신 수자원 관리 기술에 대한 발표가 진행됐습니다.

또한 참가자들은 방수환경교육보존센터를 방문하여 태국의 지하 하수처리 시설을 시찰하고, 메콩 지역 투자 기회와 기술 협력 방안을 모색했습니다.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), in collaboration with Thailand Board of Investment and Korea-Mekong Water Resources Management Collaborative Research Center, organized a two-day seminar on water management in Bangkok, Thailand on 1-2 December.

Invited to this event were representatives from the five companies of water resource management, and representatives from ministries and private sector of the five Mekong countries*. Programs included in the program are ▲Seminar on sustainable water management in the Mekong River basin, ▲Visit to the Bang Sue Environmental Education and Conservation Center, and ▲Business networking session.

*Five Mekong countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam

The seminar discussed how the Mekong countries and Korea would cooperate in water resource management and shared regional frameworks for the Mekong region, as well as policies and related technologies.

In addition, the site visit to “Bang Sue Environmental Education and Conservation Center,” one of the underground waste-water treatment plant (WWTP) facilities in Thailand, enabled participants to seek investment opportunities and technological cooperation.
