지난 12일 발표한 아세안의 Economic Integration Brief (AEIB) 보고서에는 림 족 호이(Lim Jock Hoi)아세안 사무총장과 판 소라삭(Pan Sorasak) 캄보디아 상무부장관의 기고문과 2022년 상반기의 아세안경제공동체 현황, 아세안의 경제성장세, 경제 지표 및 성장 전망 등에 대한 분석이 포함됨.

(2022년 상반기 아세안 경제 전망 및 성장 전망 요약)

올 상반기 아세안의 총 무역액은 1조 8천억 달러로 전년 대비 14.7% 증가했으며, 이는 주로 원자재 가격 상승 등으로 인해 64.7% 증가한 연료 수출입이 가장 크게 기여한 것으로 분석됨. 전반적으로 ASEAN 지역 내 시장과 국경을 통한 교류가 재개되면서 지속적인 성장세를 보이고 있으며, 내수 시장의 강화와 함께 서비스, 특히 여행과 관광 분야에서 회복이 가속화되고 있음.

다만 성장 전망 측면에서는 글로벌 금융 긴축에 따른 공급망 교란 장기화, 상품가격 상승, 자본비용 증가 등의 불확실성과 중국을 비롯한 경제 협력 국가들의 대외 수요도 감소되고 있음을 강조함.

The ASEAN Economic Integration Brief (AEIB) shared the prospect of ASEAN economic integration through articles written by Dato Lim Jock Hoi (Secretary General of ASEAN) and Pan Sorasak (Chairperson of the ASEAN Economic Ministers)

In addition to the articles, the report also analyses the regional economic outlook in ASEAN, latest updates on the ASEAN Economic Community, and key economic indicators relevant to the region.

(Summary of ASEAN economic outlook in the first half of 2022 and growth prospects)

ASEAN’s total trade expanded by 14.7 percent, year-on-year, to USD 1.8 trillion, mainly contributed by fuel trade, which increased 64.7% due to raised commodity prices. Overall, ASEAN demonstrated continuous growth with the reopening of markets and borders. The region is also seeing stronger domestic demands and accelerated recovery in the services sector, especially in travel and tourism.

In terms of growth prospects, however, there are still uncertainties, such as prolonged supply chain disruptions, higher commodity prices, and increased cost of capital due to global financial tightening. External demand from major partners are also in a downturn, especially in China.
