제6회 아세안 기업인상 시상식이 9월 16일에 개최되었습니다. 아세안의 우수한 기업인을 조명하고자 기획된 아세안 기업인상은, 한-아세안센터와 매경미디어그룹이 공동 주최했으며, 총3개 부문에서 3명의 아세안 기업인이 수상했습니다.

아세안 전역에서 성공적으로 사업을 확장한 기업인에게 시상하는 Regional Champion 부문은 싱가포르 ICT 솔루션 기업 GUUD의 CEO 데스먼드 테이가 수상했으며, 디지털, 테크놀로지 분야에서 혁신을 일으킨 기업인에게 시상하는 Entrepreneur 4.0 부문은 말레이시아의 네트워크 혁신 기업 IX Telecom의 CEO 누어 헬미가, 차세대 여성들에게 롤모델이 되는 여성 기업인에게 시상하는 Empowering Women 부문은 베트남의 종합 유통기업 Imex Pan Pacific Group의 CEO 뚜이 티엔이 수상했습니다.

코로나로 인해 수상자들을 직접 초청하지 못한 관계로 각국 대사관에서 대리 수상을 하였습니다.

On September 16, 2021, the 6th ASEAN Entrepreneurs Award ceremony was held to spotlight outstanding entrepreneurs from ASEAN. Co-organized by the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) and Maekyung Media Group, the event awarded three entrepreneurs in three categories this year.

Desmond Tay, CEO of the Singaporean ICT solutions company GUUD won in the first category, “Regional Champion” award, which is presented to entrepreneurs who have successfully expanded their business in the ASEAN region. In recognition of ASEAN entrepreneurs who have revolutionized in the digital and technology industry, the “Entrepreneur 4.0” award was presented to Noor Helmi, CEO of the Malaysian innovative network company IX Telecom. Lastly, the award for “Empowering Women” that honors inspirational women entrepreneurs was awared to Le Hong Thuy Thien, CEO of the Vietnamese retail company IPPG.

As awardees were not able to attend the ceremony due to travel restrictions, the winners’ respective embassies from Singapore, Malaysia and Viet Nam received the awards on their behalf.
