The 54th Meeting of the Executive Board of the ASEAN-Korea Centre
제54차 한-아세안센터 집행위원회 회의 개최
The 54th Meeting of the Executive Board (EB)* of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) was held at the AKC on 25 April.
* Executive Board of the ASEAN-Korea Centre: As the Centre’s official supervisory and advisory body, it is comprised of representatives from the 10 ASEAN Embassies in Seoul and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of ROK, the regular meetings of which are held 3 times a year.
During the meeting, the AKC Secretariat briefly explained the AKC priority programs and activities in particular its flagship programs in FY2024, such as the ‘ASEAN-Korea Startup Innovation Week (Sep-Oct),’ ‘ASEAN Week (Oct),’ and ‘ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop (Jul-Aug),’ and discussed potential and possible ways of cooperation.
In addition, in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the AKC and the 35th anniversary of the ASEAN-Korea dialogue relations, the AKC requested the continuous support from the EB members for the AKC’s ‘International Conference on ASEAN-Korea Partnership 2024,’ which will be held on 7 November.
Noting the anticipated establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between ASEAN and Korea, the EB members promised to render their active cooperation and participation in the AKC programs.

* 한-아세안센터 집행위원회(Executive Board of the ASEAN-Korea Centre): 주한 아세안 10개국 대사관 및 한국 외교부 대표들로 구성된 센터 공식 감독 및 자문기구로 연 3회 정례회의 개최
센터는 ‘한-아세안 스타트업 이노베이션 위크’(9-10월), ‘아세안 위크’(10월), ‘한-아세안 청년 네트워크 워크숍’(7-8월) 등 2024년 주요 사업들에 대해 설명하고, 필요한 협조사항에 대해 논의하였습니다.
또한 센터는 한-아세안 대화관계 수립 35주년과 한-아세안센터 설립 15주년을 맞아 오는 11월 7일 개최될 ‘2024 한-아세안 관계조망 국제회의’에 대한 집행위원들의 각별한 관심과 지원을 요청하였습니다.
집행위원들은 금년 한국과 아세안의 포괄적 전략적 동반자 관계 격상 등을 통해 한-아세안 간 협력이 더욱 강화될 것을 기대하며, 앞으로도 센터 사업을 위한 적극적인 협력과 참여를 약속하였습니다.
