2023 한-아세안 ESG 포럼

The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) organized the ‘ASEAN-Korea ESG Forum’ at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul on 21 November. To commemorate the launch of the book entitled ‘ESG Practices in ASEAN and Korea: Pathways Towards Sustainability’, the Forum brought together Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) experts from ASEAN and Korea to address and discuss how to leverage ESG issues in the rapidly changing international trade environment.

In 2022, the AKC initiated a two-year project to publish a report that examines the current state of ESG in ASEAN and Korea, highlighting ESG policies and practices in each country and its industries. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Asia School of Business ASEAN Research Center (Malaysia), the ASEAN Center of the Asiatic Research Institute of Korea University, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

한-아세안센터는 11월 21일 JW 메리어트 동대문 스퀘어에서 ‘한-아세안 ESG 포럼’을 개최했습니다. 『한-아세안 ESG 가이드북: ESG Practices in ASEAN and Korea: Pathways Towards Sustainability』 발간 기념으로 개최된 해당 포럼에서는 한국과 아세안의 ESG 전문가들이 모여, 급변하는 세계 경제환경에서의 ESG 주요 이슈 및 활용 방안에 대해 논의했습니다.

센터는 2022년부터 한국과 아세안의 ESG 현황, 국별 및 주요 산업별 ESG 정책 이니셔티브와 주요 사례를 조사한 보고서 발간을 준비해 왔습니다. 동 보고서는 말레이시아 소재 아시아경영대학원 아세안연구센터(Asia School of Business ASEAN Research Center, Malaysia)와 고려대학교 아세아문제연구원 아세안센터 연구진이 참여하였으며, 대한무역투자진흥공사(KOTRA)의 협력으로 집필되었습니다.
