7월 19일 한국-BIMP-EAGA (브루나이-인도네시아-말레이시아-필리핀 동아시아 성장지대) 고위실무회의(SOM) 계기에 방한한 BIMP-EAGA대표단이 한-아세안센터를 방문했습니다. 브루나이, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 필리핀 정부 및 협력사무국 대표로 구성된 14명의 대표단은 한-아세안센터의 역할과 사업들에 대한 설명을 듣고, 아세안홀의 상설 전시를 둘러보았습니다. 이어진 김해용 한-아세안센터 사무총장 주재 만찬에서 센터와 대표단은 한국과 BIMP-EAGA 협력 현황을 공유하고 추후 협력을 위한 네트워크를 구축했습니다.

On July 19, the Delegation of the ROK-BIMP-EAGA Senior Officer’s Meeting (SOM), composed of 14 delegates from the governments of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines as well as the BIMP-EAGA Facilitation Centre, visited the ASEAN-Korea Centre. The delegates were briefed on the Centre’s roles and activities, and took a tour of the exhibition at the ASEAN Hall. Dinner hosted by Secretary General Kim Hae-yong followed, where participants shared the status of cooperation between Korea and BIMP-EAGA and built networks for future collaborations.
