한-아세안센터는 한국디자인진흥원(KIDP), 말레이시아 디자인 카운슬, 그리고 말라카 주 정부와 함께 7월 4 – 7일 간 말레이시아 말라카와 쿠알라룸푸르에서 “2023 투자 및 시장 조사 미션”을 진행했습니다. 

창조 경제와 디자인 산업 진흥을 위한 협력을 모색하기 위한 이번 미션에 아세안 해양국 4개국(인도네시아, 말레이시아, 필리핀, 싱가포르)과 한국의 디자인 산업 정부 기관과 기업 관계자(17명)들이 함께하였습니다. 

이번 미션은 세미나와 B2B 미팅, 산업 시찰로 구성되었으며, 세미나를 통해 참가국들의 디자인 육성책을 살펴보고 미션에 참가한 기업들의 사업에 대한 정보를 공유하는 한편 디자인과 창조경제 분야 한-아세안 협력 방안을 논의했습니다. 

또한 Kompleks Kraf Melaka에 방문하여 지역 장인들을 만나 현지 전통문화와 공예를 직접 경험하며 살펴보는 기회도 가졌습니다.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre organized the “2023 Investment and Market Research Mission” in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka, Malaysia on 4 – 7 July 2023, under the theme of “Creative Economy and Design Industry”. Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), Malaysia Design Council, and Office of Melaka State Secretary also took part in the mission as cooperating partners. 17 representatives from government institutions and private companies of four maritime ASEAN member states (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore) and Korea participated in the Mission. 

The program consisted of a seminar, a B2B meeting session, and a site visit. Through the seminar, the Mission investigated policy frameworks of the design industry in each ASEAN member state and Korea, as well as presented businesses and projects of design companies that were part of the Mission. 

A visit to ‘Kompleks Kraf Melaka’ was also made, where delegates experienced local traditional handicraft and heritage.
