김해용 한-아세안센터 사무총장은 6월 1일 ’제18회 제주포럼’의 “평화와 번영을 위한 ASEAN+α 비전 공유: 아세안을 넘어 아랍까지” 세션에 참가하여, 한-아세안 관계의 중요성과 이를 위한 한-아세안센터의 역할을 소개 하였습니다.
한편, 센터는 2022년 아세안의 문화관광 자원을 소개하고, 한-아세안 관계에 대한 상호 이해 제고 및 인적교류 증진을 위해 제주 중문 관광단지 내 국제평화센터에 제주 유일의 아세안 관련 전시 공간인 ‘제주 아세안홀’을 개관한 바 있습니다.
Secretary General Kim Hae-yong of the ASEAN-Korea Centre participated in the ‘18th Jeju Forum 2023’ on June 1, 2023. At the “From Jeju to ASEAN and Arab: Exploring Opportunities for Trade and Cultural Exchange” Session, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of ASEAN-Korea partnership and introduced the programs and roles of the ASEAN-Korea Centre.
Meanwhile, with an aim to introduce culture and tourism of ASEAN member states and enhance mutual awareness on ASEAN-Korea partnership, as well as to promote people-to-people exchanges, the ASEAN-Korea Centre officially opened the ‘Jeju ASEAN Hall’, the only permanent exhibition hall in Jeju introducing ASEAN, in 2022.
