한-아세안센터는 2월 14일(월) 제14차 한-아세안센터 연례이사회를 온라인으로 개최했습니다. 센터는 한국과 아세안 10개국, 총 11개 회원국의 관계 부처 고위관료 및 주한 아세안 대사로 구성된 이사회를 매년 한국에서 개최했으나, 코로나-19 상황을 감안하여 작년에 이어 올해도 비대면 화상회의로 진행했습니다.

이번 이사회에서는 변화한 대내외 환경 속에서 2021년 주요 사업 성과를 평가하고, 2022년 사업 계획 및 관련 예산안을 최종 승인했습니다.

2021년 한-아세안센터는 약 20여 가지 사업을 대부분 비대면∙하이브리드 형식으로 전환하여 운영하는 한편, 아세안 10개국의 문화와 여행지 그리고 아세안 청년들에 대한 재밌고 유용한 콘텐츠를 제작∙배포하여 양 지역 기업, 전문가 및 청년들과 온라인 소통과 교류를 확대해 나갔습니다.

센터는 2022년에도 계속해서 좀 더 균형되고, 포용적이며 지속 가능한 한-아세안 파트너십 강화를 위해 역할을 다할 예정입니다.

On February 14, 2022, the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) held the 14th Annual Meeting of the Council. The Centre holds Meetings of the Council every year in Korea, hosting high-ranking officials and ambassadors representing the governments of the 10 ASEAN Member States and Korea as Council Directors. However, this year, the Meeting was held virtually via videoconference in consideration of the pandemic.

At the Meeting, the Council reviewed and evaluated the performance and effectiveness of the Centre’s FY2021 programs. It also discussed and approved the Draft Annual Work Programs and Budget for FY2022.

In 2021, the AKC carried out around 20 programs, mostly online or in a hybrid format. The Centre also expanded online communication and exchange with businesses, experts, and youths in ASEAN and Korea by producing interesting and informative ASEAN-related content on topics such as ASEAN youth and the culture and tourism of the 10 ASEAN Member States. The Centre will further contribute to strengthening a balanced, inclusive, and sustainable ASEAN-Korea partnership in 2022.
