The amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) from Korea to ASEAN in 2020 was recorded as USD 9.2 billion. Investment to Singapore was recorded as USD 3.8 billion (41.4% of Korea’s total FDI to ASEAN), exceeding its investment to Viet Nam, which reached USD 2.7 billion (29.3% of Korea’s total FDI to ASEAN). The number of Korean enterprises that were newly registered in 2020 was 786, which is less than the previous year’s 1,394.
