한-아세안센터는 3월 16일 인도네시아 자카르타 아세안 사무국에서 개최된 ‘제10차 한-아세안 공동협력위원회(ASEAN-ROK Joint Cooperation)’ 회의에 참석했습니다. 권희석 주아세안한국대사와 Nguyen Hai Bang 주아세안베트남대사가 공동 주재하고, 아세안상주대표위원회(CPR)*가 참석한 가운데, 한-아세안 행동계획(ASEAN-ROK Plan of Action) 이행 현황, 지난해 한-아세안 정상회의 후속 조치, 2023년 아세안 의장국의 주요 계획 등에 대한 논의가 이루어졌습니다.

한-아세안센터 조수진 기획총무국장은, 지난해 센터의 주요 사업과 올해 계획에 대해 소개하였습니다.

한편, 금번 회의 계기에 한-아세안센터 대표단은 아세안 사무국 대외협력 국과의 면담을 통해 센터 사무국 간 긴밀한 협력을 위한 방안을 모색했습니다.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) attended the 10th Meeting of the ASEAN-ROK Joint Cooperation Committee which was held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia on 16 March 2023. Under the co-chairmanship of ROK Ambassador to Korea, Kwon Hee-seog, and Vietnamese Ambassador to ASEAN, Nguyen Hai Bang, the Meeting was also attended by members of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR). The Meeting discussed on the progress of the implementation of the ASEAN-ROK Plan of Action and followed up on the results of the 23rd ASEAN-ROK Summit held last November 2022, as well as the priorities of the ASEAN Chairmanship for 2023.

AKC’s Head of Development, Planning and General Affairs Unit, Cho Sujin participated in the Meeting to brief on the achievements of AKC’s FY2022 programs, as well as highlights of its FY2023 plans.

On this occasion, the AKC delegation also made a courtesy meeting with Pham Minh Thu, Assistant Director of External Relations Division 1 of the ASEAN Secretariat, to explore ways for closer cooperation in the future.
