한-아세안센터는 9월 15일(목) 제주 아세안홀(Jeju ASEAN Hall)을 개관했습니다.

제주 서귀포시 중문관광단지 내 국제평화센터에 위치한 제주 아세안홀은 아세안의 문화관광 자원을 소개하는 한편, 한-아세안 관계에 대한 상호 이해를 제고하고 인적교류를 증진하기 위해 설립되었습니다.

김해용 한-아세안센터 사무총장의 기념사로 시작된 개관식에는 박진 외교부 장관, 오영훈 제주도지사, 주한 아세안 대사 등이 참석하여 축사를 전달하고 개관 전시를 관람했습니다.

‘함께-잇는-가치(Weaving Values Together)’라는 주제로 기획한 개관 전시는 아세안 10개국과 제주의 전통과 현대를 아우르는 문화예술품을 전시하고 있습니다. 이번 전시는 한국과 아세안이 함께 미래를 만들어나가는 ‘연대’의 가치를 느낄 수 있도록 기획했습니다. 특히 한-아세안센터는 디지털 키오스크를 설치해 아세안 회원국별 기본 정보와 전시 문화예술품에 대한 설명을 누구나 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 했습니다.

The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) officially opened Jeju ASEAN Hall on September 15.

Attending the opening ceremony were Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin, Jeju Governor Oh Young-hoon, and ASEAN Ambassadors to Korea who delivered congratulatory remarks and viewed the exhibition. AKC Secretary General Kim Hae-yong also gave a commemorative speech to celebrate the opening of Jeju ASEAN Hall.

Under the theme “Weaving Values Together,” the exhibition displays cultural crafts and artifacts that encompass the traditions and modernity of 10 ASEAN member states and Jeju, which was designed to showcase the solidarity between ASEAN and Korea. The hall also features digital kiosks from which visitors can learn more about the stories behind the exhibition items and ASEAN-Korea relations.
