한-아세안센터는 10월 29일 한국외국어대학교 서울 캠퍼스에서 취업 동향 및 비자 신청 절차에 대한 정보제공과 국내 취업 사례 소개를 목적으로 “2022 아세안 청년 커리어 멘토십”을 개최했습니다. 한국외국어대학교 동남아연구소•진로취업지원센터와 공동으로 개최한 이번 행사에는 국내 대학(원)에 재학 중인 아세안 학생 30여 명이 참석했습니다.

한국외대 진로취업지원센터 부지영 컨설턴트의 한국 취업 지원 절차에 대한 강의를 시작으로, 법률사무소 푸름의 이도경 변호사는 한국 취업 시 필요한 비자 종류와 절차에 대해 설명했습니다. 이어서 4명의 아세안 멘토 메기 양, 무하마드 아리엘, 아델라 세카르, 그리고 엘라 게바라가 한국에서 취업을 준비하고 근무한 경험과 조언을 공유했습니다.

On October 29, the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) organized the “2022 ASEAN Youth Career Mentorship Program” at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) Seoul Campus,, in collaboration of HUFS Center for Southeast Asian Studies and HUFS Career Development Center. 30 ASEAN students in Korea, who are studying and are interested in navigating a career path, attended the seminar and joined lectures on the job application process, information on visa application, and an experience-sharing for ASEAN youths in Korea.

Students had the opportunity to learn more about the job application process in Korea through the lecture by Boo Ji-young, a career consultant from HUFS’ Career Development Center as well as on the related legal procedures for employment visa application through the session by Simon D. Lee, a lawyer at Pureum Law Office. Four ASEAN youth mentors from the banking & finance, IT & engineering and international organization sectors —Maggie Yang , Muhammad Ariel Baresi, Adella Sekar, and Ella Guevarra— also joined to share their working experiences in Korea to the participating students.
