한-아세안센터는 4월 28일(목) 제48차 정례 집행위원회를 온라인으로 개최했습니다. 이번 회의에서 센터는 금년도 4월 사업들의 주요 성과를 공유하고, 앞으로의 사업 계획을 논의했습니다.

※ 한-아세안센터 집행위원회(Executive Board of the ASEAN-Korea Centre): 주한 아세안 10개국 대사관 및 한국 외교부 대표들로 구성된 센터 공식 감독 및 조언 기구로 연 3회 정례회의 개최

센터는 특히 올해 예정된 ‘2022 아세안 무역전시회(6월)’, ‘제주 아세안홀 개관(9월)’, ‘아세안홀 디지털화 사업(연중)’ 등 주요 사업들의 진행 경과를 소개하며 집행위원들의 각별한 관심과 지원을 요청했습니다.

집행위원들은 그간 코로나19 등으로 인한 제약하에서도 센터가 한-아세안 협력 증진을 위해 지속적으로 노력해준 데 대해 사의를 표하고, 전반적인 상황 개선에 따라 대면교류가 확대되고 사업들이 정상화됨으로써 센터의 역할이 더욱 확대되리라는 기대를 나타냈습니다.

The Executive Board (EB) of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) held its 48th Meeting via online on April 28. At the meeting, AKC shared with the EB members on key achievements of its programs in April and discussed upcoming programs for FY2022.

※ The Executive Board of the ASEAN-Korea Centre is the Centre’s official supervisory and advisory body, comprising of representatives from 10 ASEAN embassies in Seoul and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of ROK.

In particular, the Centre shared on the progress of and requested members’ attention and support for AKC’s major programs, including such as the ASEAN Trade Fair 2022 (June), the opening of the Jeju ASEAN Hall (September), and the ASEAN Hall Digitalization Project (year-round).

The EB members expressed their appreciation to AKC for its continued efforts to promote and enhance cooperation and exchanges between ASEAN and Korea despite the challenging situation posed by COVID-19. They further look forward to an expanded role of the AKC with more active and direct people-to-people exchanges as the pandemic situation improves.
